Afterchain Biography
AfterChain was born in a small loft in Detroit, MI in 2000 as Aunia Kahn took pieces of magnetic poetry and placed them on a refrigerator door. Incorporating the core definition that a chain can be broken if only one link shatters, but new links being added offers a greater and higher endurance. A new form of expression for Aunia Kahn was born through sound. Throughout Aunia's career she has consistently taken raw emotion, disturbing subject matter and wandering thoughts as building blocks for her unique sound.

History
In 2002 Aunia Kahn and Russell J. Moon started Silencer Records to help move both of their musical creations into the hands of more seekers. The label grew, other artists signed on and both Aunia & Russell's musical projects took the back seat. The label became allies with many other indie labels and artist and became too large for either Russ or Aunia to keep going while pursuing their own arts. The label was sold in 2004, and in a few months the walls of the record label finally collapsed without adequate backing.

Then in 2004, after two years as the Vice President, and A&R Rep of Silencer Records Aunia decided to take a break from the music industry all together to focus on her visual artist career. In December 2005 her career officially launched with her first exhibition which garnered immediate interest in fine art gallery showings across the United States and internationally.

In late 2008 Aunia released her long awaited single "Void" which has accompanying remixes from Romell from Razed in Black and Danielle Myer of Haujobb. Since then she has taken a break to continue to focus on her art career.
